Along with the outstanding rust preventers in the "Wood Doctor Boiler Treatment", a scale inhibitor system is used to help prevent mineral deposition and scale formation. Properly treated, circulatory water systems can run for many years before clean out is required. Acidic water is also addressed with the "Wood Doctor Boiler Treatment". Addition of "Wood Doctor Boiler Treatment" will also raise the PH of water. Neutral water is 7. A lower PH will dissolve metal. Therefore it is desirable to keep the PH between 9 and 10, maximum 11.

"Wood Doctor Boiler Treatment" is very easy to use, with recommended treatment every six months.
In an open system oxygen scavengers may not last a full year.
WD4000 requires 1/2 container to start. Then add as
required
every 6 months thereafter.
WD8000 requires 1/2 container to start. Then add as
required
every 6 months thereafter.
WDEC requires 3/4 container to start. Then add as
required
every 6 months thereafter.
WD14000 requires 1 containers to start. Then add as
required
every 6 months thereafter.
WD30000 requires 2 1/2 containers to start. Then add
as required every 6 months thereafter.
Due to variances in water conditions treatment levels will be different. Please refer to Wood Doctor Test Kit or PH strips for proper treatment. Drain off sample to be tested and allow to cool to room temperature. Dip end of test strip in sample and compare colour. Mix a full container with 3 gallons of warm water. Pour the dissolved mixture into the 1" overflow pipe behind the chimney. In converter model add treatment to vacuum tank on side of the furnace.
